It’s an exhibition which takes place in and around the town of Borgo a Mozzano, every year at the end of October. It is about legendaries and mysteries of our traditions which have been passed down from generation to generation.

Halloween Celebration is also a big interactive show with concerts, famous guests, re-enactments and so on. Halloween celebration receives visitors from all around the world and is considered the most famous Halloween celebration in Italy.

Borgo a Mozzano area has a long been considered a bewitched land filled with ghosts, goblins, witches, spirits and other magical creatures. Ponte del diavolo (Devil’s Bridge), dated back to 1200, is indeed Borgo a Mozzano true symbol for the legendary of its origins connected to Evil.

Started in 1993, Halloween Celebration has immediately gained one thousand visitors from every part of Italy and abroad surprising everybody.

Over the years, Halloween Celebrations has responded to customer preferences with many modifications and additions and it now includes “Passaggio del Terrore” which represents the highlight of the whole exhibition. It is a horror-thriller theme path consisting of 20 scenes along. 120 persons (technical and mechanical operators, set designers, make-up artists, tutor, figurants and actors) works for it and the audience is divided into small groups to be a living and integral participant of this horror show.

At the end of the main show, Lucida Mansi arrives. She is a noblewoman from Lucca who comes back from the underworld with Lucifer to whom she had sold her soul in exchange for just forty years of youth and beauty.

In just one night, Lucida runs through again all the cruel events of her life until descending again into the underworld.

Lucida drives her wagon to reach the Ponte del Diavolo where she terminates her journey with a delirious Big Sabbath.

Every year the exhibition gains a larger and larger following.
